fundraising opportunities

It's part of DRT Press's mission to help non-profit, adoption-related charities raise money. We are very happy to partner with non-profit organizations in their fundraising efforts. Here are some examples of ways adoption non-profits have partnered with us:

Woods Charter School is using The Big Fun Guide to Tar Heel Country to raise funds for the outdoor spaces at its new building. Half of all money they raise by selling the book will go towards their playgrounds and other activity centers around their school. They are doing this through a coupon code that links directly to the DRT Press website, as well as e-mail notifications and order forms they will be distributing through their school community.

Eastern European Adoption Coalition has written a review of When I Met You and placed a link on their website. The link includes an embedded code that lets us know the puchase came through EEAC. Each book purchased through EEAC's website results in a donation of 25% of cover to EEAC.
We created a special order form for people who want to benefit Families Thru International Adoption when they order the book. FTIA is letting its mailing list know about this option. Again, if people purchase a book by clicking through this website a code is automatically entered into the order form so we know where the click came from.
Legacy Bridge is selling books at their annual reunion. People at the reunion will get to see a couple of copies of the books and then will be able to place orders through special order forms and through their website.
The Dallas-Fort Worth Chapter of FRUA has purchased cases of When I Met You for sale at their meetings and their conference. We've given them a significant discount so all sales serve as a fundraiser for them.
Other ideas: include us in your list of books in the Amazon Associates program...pre-order a case (30) books at a significant discount and sell them at your event for the cover price...include a review of the book in your organization's newsletter and talk with us about a coupon code so you can get a percentage of the cover...be creative!
